The EASD Early Career Academy
The EASD Early Career Academy is an initiative to support, train, mentor, and create opportunities for scientists, clinicians, and students who are at an early or intermediate stage of their career, with an interest in diabetes research and/or clinical practice.
Its core objective is to provide unique opportunities for development, a platform for exchange of knowledge and experience, peer-support, and interaction with the wider EASD community.
Through these activities it will support and motivate early-career researchers and clinicians in the field of diabetes to become the future leaders that pursue excellence in diabetes care and research.
The EASD Early Career Academy stands for the highest research standards and open science.
The EASD Early Career Academy will provide fellows with the SCOPE for innovation and development.

EASD Early Career Academy at the EASD Annual Meeting 2024
We were again actively involved in the development of the programme for the EASD Annual Meeting 2024 in Madrid and organised several attractive sessions.
For the second time, we've also evaluated the abstracts submitted for the Annual Meeting to assign the 'Best Abstract Awards' to one early career researcher per scientific track.
Congratulations to all eight awardees on receiving the 'Best Abstract Awards' 2024!
