Sustainability at the EASD Annual Meeting

The EASD Annual Meeting is the largest diabetes-related congress in Europe, welcoming thousands of delegates coming from all over the world to learn more about the latest results from diabetes research as well as clinical treatment and care.

As a medical scientific organisation, EASD is aware of the global challenges climate change puts on societies and healthcare systems worldwide. Therefore, we are committed to contribute in several ways to reduce our carbon footprint and turning the EASD Annual Meeting greener.

We also encourage all our partners and delegates to take actions helping to protect our planet. Please join us not only in making the congress a scientific success but also in making it greener.

A healthy environment is essential, not only for people living with chronic diseases such as diabetes but for all of us.

EASD has carefully selected IFEMA Convention Center - Feria de Madrid as the venue for the 60th EASD Annual Meeting, 9 - 13 September 2024, as the venue stands for responsible, sustainable business and their measures include not only economic but also ecological and social aspects.
