The aims of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) are to encourage and support research in the field of diabetes, the rapid diffusion of acquired knowledge and to facilitate its application.

Therefore, the Association is actively involved in producing and endorsing statements and guidelines translating the latest results from diabetes research into best practices in diabetes management.

The Committee on Clinical Affairs (CCA) is responsible for structuring and overseeing EASD’s activities in the development of formal statements and guidelines. The CCA evaluates all initial requests from members of the Association or other institutions or societies concerning the development of guidelines and statements and advises the EASD Board Executive accordingly.
